This coffee distribution funnel is an amazing piece of gear. Use it daily with my 54mm, Breville Bambino, basket and it works perfectly. Fits nice and tight and doesnt go anywhere until you pull on the lever extension to remove it. Well built, easy to clean, and a perfect fit. It has made an amazing impact on my daily coffee routine.
If you are in the market for an espresso distributor, this one is a great one. Fits perfectly in a 54mm portafilter. Feels high quality, heavy in weight. If you prefer wooden handle, than this one is the one the wood texture looks great. I wouldve like it if the wood was little bit lighter in color, but definitely not a deal breaker.
Bought as a gift for my coffee lover. Works perfect and love the stand to keep it concealed and clean.
This is a really nice tamper quality of materials, feel, etc. Fits perfectly into my La Marzocco precision basket. To be clear, the 58.5 mm fits beautifully. I was so excited to test the fit that I took the tamper out of the box, placed it on top of an empty basket, and then pushed it went to the bottom of the basket and got stuck! It took me a few minutes to get it out as I had to be very careful. So make sure to test it only with some coffee! I then tried it, and my first tamp was perfectly level and nicely tamped. I am staying with the medium spring for now as my extraction was exactly the same time as my normal puck prep process. WDT, level, tamp. I'm a happy tamper!
The entire leveler is solid metal, and makes for an attractive and premium feel in the hand. Being able to use this in my espresso workflow makes for easy and quick leveling for high yields when I have guests over and no time to WDT or focus on puck prep. I simply dose directly into the portafilter with a pre-dialed time on my grinder, level out, tamp, and dispense. Very easy to use and a no-brainer for productivity. I use the IMS Precision 18-22 g filter basket, and it is a perfect fit.
The WDT tool for espresso distribution has proven to be a game-changer in achieving consistent and even coffee grounds distribution. Its precision design and multiple needle configuration ensure that the coffee grounds are evenly distributed, minimizing the risk of channeling and resulting in a more balanced extraction. The tool's build quality is commendable, and it feels sturdy and reliable in hand.Furthermore, the WDT tool contributes significantly to enhancing the overall flavor profile of the espresso. By preventing clumps and uneven distribution, it promotes better extraction, leading to a more nuanced and flavorful cup of coffee. The tool's versatility with different basket sizes adds to its appeal, making it suitable for a variety of espresso machines. However, some users may find the learning curve associated with using the WDT tool a bit steep initially. Achieving the perfect technique might take a few attempts, and improper usage could lead to inconsistent results. Despite this minor drawback, the WDT tool stands out as an invaluable accessory for espresso enthusiasts aiming for precision and flavor consistency in their coffee-making process.
Elegant. Sleek. Very nice tool!

Great value for a distribution tool.
This little jewel of a tool works great. The price cant be beat. Use it every day when I make my cup of joy!
Having one tool for both tamper and distributor takes up less space on my counter. Workmanship and finish are perfect. Weight is nicely heavy (441g) and feels good in the hands. Height adjustment on both sides is easy and the locking mechanism works perfectly. I have adjusted it several times and so far I have been able to loosen it and tighten it easily enough and it has never accidentally come loose. It took me a little bit of time to "dial in" the height but I think I've got it just right now. I just noticed that I do get a little bit of residual coffee along the edges where the distributor and the portafilter meet. That might mean I'm not pressing down evenly maybe Humm. I'll have to watch that. I'm still a bit of a coffee novice and am not that fastidious in my technique so take my comments with a grain of salty coffee grind.

Alright, if you are on this part of amazon, it is likely that you are already down deep in the rabbit hole that is home espresso. If you are like me, you strive towards excellence with your machine - and that means that you are looking to improve your puck prep. I've used it all, distributors, all different types of tampers, a puck screen, and several iterations of the notorious Weiss Distribution Technique "tools". The first one being some needles stuck through a wine bottle cork - worked fine but needed some upgrades. The second one was a cheapo $4 WDT tool from Alibaba. I finally did some more research and saw Lance Hedrick's numbers on WDT tool that say you should be using needles that are 0.3mm or less. This is close enough right rightWell this came in and I am impressed with the quality, it is metal and heavy, and feels pretty good in the hand. The feature that I like the most is the ability to take out and move certain needles. Like another review said, taking out the middle needles and leaving the outer ones changes it from a "moving the grounds around the portafilter in a stirring motion" to "breaking apart the grinds" I have seen a noticeable difference in my espresso since buying this.Yes, you can get a cheaper one, but is $20 really that bad
