This is probably the best material I have ever used with a hook rug. The canvas is well printed, well sewed with a pretty border. The back has good material, and almost feels like it has gripping capabilities so it wouldn’t slide. The yarn isn’t corse and doesn’t snag and fray. It’s made of soft wool almost. Easy to use and comes with a numbers color card with diagram! Best $20 I’ve ever spent! Was delivered next day also! Will be buying more! Thank you so much!

I got this for my daughter to do while being locked down due to the virus. Unfortunately she wasn't into it BUT I have found myself a new hobby :) . It's super easy to do and they give you more than enough yarn to complete it. I still have a third of what was there left which my daughter will use for her other crafts. I have found that I really enjoy making these and have bought several others to see if I like those too. The fact this one has the print on it helps a ton for beginners. One downside to it being printed is that some of the squares kind of bleed into each other so it's hard to tell if it's supposed to be blue or pink. No big deal though. I wish they made more designs like dragon, dinosaurs, stuff like that. Most of their stuff is very girly which isn't bad bbbuutttt I would love to see more options! Over all, I LOVED this set and will be buying more of their stuff in the future :)

I didn’t expect it to have a way to hang it up or me not have to put tape on the edges. It’s been a good 15-20 years since I did my Winnie the Pooh one that I no longer have and I am so happy I thought of this cuz it keeps me busy and my mind busy and it is great material for a great price! Great gift for my 7 year old daughter who loves to do crafts! Comes with everything you need from start to finish! It took her several tries to get the dexterity down - but once she figured it out… she enjoyed latch hook very much. Will be looking for more like this!!

This is our third pillow kit from this company, and my mother LOVES them. We have bought a few others with our own money. My original review is from the earlier kits but still applies to this one. My mom didn't like the "funky colors" of the owls and changed them to brown with her own yarn to make them look "more like real owls".ORIGINAL REVIEW:My mother is obsessed with doing latch hooks and is CONSTANTLY making them. Since retiring, she spends at least $200/month on kits and canvas etc and is filling a closet up with completed rugs that she is going to donate to Rugs for Roswell. She liked the two kits that I got her from this company, aside from the hooks which are too thin for her arthritic hands to comfortably hold. She uses a big rounded handled hook.The image is printed on the canvas, but my mom does not go by the print as she prefers to follow the grid and count. The kit was done in less than a day because it is so small and there is not too much detail in it. It is a good size for making a cute little pillow or wall hanging.4.5 stars, half a star off for the included hook being so narrow.

If you follow chart they give you, you may as well have an un-stenciled canvas. I just looked at the printed canvas and the finished photo and took it from there. It has been years since I've done latch hook and thought it would be nice to find a couple for me and my 9 yr old to do together. I got her the Latchkits rainbow and I got this wolf kit for myself. The canvas is very nice, with the complete edging and backing. It comes in a nice folder type of container with a snap closure...very nice way to store it even when you are finished. I love everything about it except the tool. The tool is thin and very cheap. Unfortunately between the hook and the dangle part where you wrap the yarn over, the tool is rough and the canvas and yarn both have caught on it and has snared me more than a handful of times. Since it has been years since I've done this I don't have any extra tools laying around to replace so I'm going to buy another one to continue. I love it otherwise!

I bought this as a gift for my grandchild and my adult family members ended up making several colorful pot holders taking them back to childhood! It was lots of fun!
