Green is perfect with our green cabinets. And it does this job perfectly for coffee but read instructions for timers in different levels of coffee preferences.
I bought this to take to my moms house. I tested it first to be sure it worked ok, and was very pleased with the functionality and quality, so much Im considering keeping it at my home and giving her my old cuisinart coffee maker instead (shes not a coffee drinker, its just for when I visit). The dimensions are a bit longer - sticks out onto the counter a fewInches more, but not a problem. I appreciate the function to adjust the brewing strength as I often just make a couple of cups. I bought one of these about three years ago and the heating element died last week. I order another of the same model so it' obvious I like the product. I chose this model because it doesn't have a heating element under the carafe so the coffee doesn't burn (I don't like burnt coffee). This little coffee maker has really saved the morning for me. When my old one failed, it was hard to find another that used No. 4 cone filters. I prefer the flavor of cone-dripped coffee, and this well-sized machine makes a pot much faster than my old one, while taking up less space. I purchased this coffee pot seven months ago. I has been used daily. In comparison to the last two pots I have had, the first thing I noticed is when I pour the water into the hopper, it does NOT SPILL all over the counter. That alone is a great plus! The last two pots I had were too confusing to program. This one was super EASY TO PROGRAM, change the program time and set the clock. The timer runs through AM and PM. I've used electric drip coffee makers for the past 40 years. Always a cone filter. Always a paper filter. This Braun automatic drip coffee maker is easy to fill, easy to clean, makes great coffee very quickly*. I've had this a bit over a month. It took a few brews to dial in the amount of beans to grind (about 5-10% more than in my previous machine) and the amount of time* to grind the beans (about 35% longer than for previous machine). I've been using a filter cup and filters, really easy to clean up and use, not very convenient to pour hot water into the filter cup every few minutes. Easy to use, makes good coffee in a reasonable time, keeps track of pots to remind me of cleaning. Instructions are very clear. Looks good.Cons - the water fill gauge is easy to see, but not when actually filling the machine. Admittedly I never gave an electric kettle much thought but I really bought this because it looked nice (and that is important) but this just makes boiling water for your French Coffee Press a breeze. I top off mine before I go to bed than in the morning you just tap the switch on the handle, the nice blue light comes on, it boils in just a few minutes and I pour into the press. It looks good, operates wonderfully and intuitively and seems built well. Nice.
