This bag will be the perfect one to carry either as a purse or a backpack for traveling. Two large side pockets will hold my water bottles perfectly at the same time! I use a vitamin water bottle for my water which is larger than a normal crunchy noisy water bottle and they fit perfectly. All the zippered sections and open pockets are roomy and nice. You can carry it like a backpack, a purse or on one shoulder. The main zippered compartment is slightly smaller than I'd like but it' adequate and the other components to the bag are so perfect, I can deal with a slightly smaller opening on top. The main section has a zipper at both ends so you can open or close the bag from either end.
