Having owned three different Vitamix blenders including two of the professional versions, as well as a couple of other brands like NutriBullet, etc., this blender is incredible for the price.One of the things that makes a good high speed blender is a powerful motor and many of the lesser expensive brands and models have sub 1000 Watt motors. Update: The machine died seven months inA few days ago when I had company for the holidays, my machine completely kicked it. Light would come on, but no water would brew and no heat came on the hot plate. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal and I would order a new one, but it was the day after Christmas and I had guests, so I had to run out to the grocery store and buy a $20 Toastmaster to bring back home.I'm a little disappointed in durability. I put off on buying this thing for way too long. Love the compact size and two blender cups it comes with. It blends everything bro a super smooth consistency. Im not a huge breakfast person so I put oats, raw eggs, egg whites, and blueberries in it over night and blend it up for breakfast. Super convenient and fast. Its also not super loud so I dont wake up the whole household early in the morning.

Updated review, now 5 stars and would give more if I could:The metallic/burning plastic smell from the liner of the water tank did indeed disappate completeley after about 3.5 weeks (longer than Bunn' claimed 1-2 weeks) and we are so glad we stuck with it.
