Very nice item and received it very quickly

If you find sharpening with a fast-cutting, 1200-grit diamond plate is enough for most of your needs, but occasionally want/need to put a super fine edge on that chisel, plane blade, or knife, this 3000/8000 grit two-sided waterstone will do the trick. Everything about this is as promised in the description. Wood base is almost so nice you don't want to use it. Recommend. Really happy with this purchase.
I was very surprised at at the quality and how good everything was packaged even though some of the reviews were not good but I am very happy with them. I've never used a wheatstone before so I watched some Youtube videos and gave it a try. It takes some time and patience but the outcome was amazing. The knife guide was enough to get me started and I used it by sliding it over the knife blade to get the proper angle. Beware because there is some vertical move in the guide so make sure that you h
PROS: The packaging is perfect, includes three stones, two of which serve dual purposes individually. The stones do an excellent job of sharpening the knife; you can see the residue left behind with each pass. The user manual is easy to understand, it makes for an excellent gift, whether for yourself or someone else.CONS: NATO THE SELLER: Thank you for making this purchase possible.FINAL THOUGHTS: This kitchen set is a first for me, and my wife loves it. Definitely worth getting.
Okay, I didn't get an instruction manual. However, I like my meat knives very sharp. Hessler Worldwide kinda spoiled me. I had tried to sharpen them after ages on a cheap magnetic sharpener and it started dinging every blade I put in it, including my hairdressing scissors. I am very happy to have this stone. My grandfather sharpened his pocketknives away the whole time I was growing up. He taught me how to use a whetstone. I looked up how to use a water stone. I soaked in water for 10 mins and t
I own a highly (America' Test Kitchen) recommend electric knife sharpener, but one day I saw a YouTube video on wet stone knife sharpening. For the relatively inexpensive price, I decided to try one. My advice is that if you are meticulous enough to spend 10-20 minutes, maybe up to half an hour to get a knife sharp enough that you could shave your face with, you want one of these. I don't know what else to say encouraging other than I have a peeler for julienned carrots for salad that I also lo
This is a nice set, but according to my husband, a little complicated to learn. He was able to sharpen several knives, but it took him a long time. Still, definitely worth the money and a great set.

I read a couple reviews complaining of the time required to sharpen a knife. If you want speed, use a bench grinder; and one of the many electric knife sharpeners is going to be faster. But speed and ease will never produce quality. This whet stone produces razor sharp knives any cook would cherish. And with the included angle guide, it is a sure no brainer; anyone can sharpen a blade to be proud of! Slow and steady wins the race.
I was surprised at how fast it arrived and I got to soaking it for 10 minutes as instructed...then went ahead and started sharpening all my kitchen knives. Man it did wonders for my cleaver. That thing was dull dull dull. Did amazing on all the stuff I got sharpened! Was definitely a great purchase
Worked perfectly for honing my high carbon steel straight razor. After liberally applying water to the stone and making a few passes, it' very clear how much metal is being left behind. The 5,000 grit side works very quickly but is clean and smooth with well-beveled edges. 25 to 30 passes on the 10,000 grit side polishes up the blade nicely. Nice and heavy, which is good when you don't want the stone to move. Plus, it has a good rubber base that is non-slip.
If youre willing to put the time and effort into sharpening your knives that a kit like this calls for, it seems to be a great setup at a reasonable price. Id recommend getting some angle guides so you can maintain the proper bevel of your blades.
What do I know about sharpening knives Not much. Nothing I had used had ever worked. But I accidentally stumbled on a youtube video showing a whetstone, and I thought it looked like something I could handle. There were a number of similar products but this had just what I was looking for - 2 grits, a base and an angle guide, and the price was right. As soon as I got it, I tried it with several knives, and they are noticeably sharper. The instructions could be better, but that is not a big deal, si
The kit is well equipped and the stones appear to be decent quality. they did a good job sharpening some plane irons.I like to have a sharp knife. Pocket knives, steak knives, chef'/cooking knives. The blades clamp on well to the angle roller, and its relatively easy to estimate the proper angle of the blade for sharpening
great product, delivered fast and very easy to use

I recently got a job at a State Park. One of the first things they asked me to do was to cut down some vines. I was appalled when I went to the tool shed and saw how dull all of the tools were. A workman is only as good as his, (or her) tools. I asked how I could sharpen them and was directed to a bench grinder. For garden snips Since I dont want to GIVE the state my money but wanted sharp tools I was looking for some inexpensive sharpener. This stone is GREAT. Whenever I find I have some free
