I ain't gonna lie, bands scare the crap out of me but not enough to keep me from using them. Maybe I'd feel differently if I'd been whacked by one snapping on me. These are not the most expensive but there are certainly many cheaper sets out there to be had and cheaping out on resistance bands seems like a very bad idea. I can't find anything wrong with these exercise bands/tubes. They are tubes but the site calls them bands so not really sure what to call them. It' like surgical tubing that we used to make wrist rockets with. I like the variety of strengths. I give a 4 for durability due to the size of the little carabiners that connect the tubes to the handles. Those are light to medium weight and I will be surprised if they do not fail. I have used similar carabiners in other applications and the gate spring
